Resolved Question: Can I negotiate with my renter?

After moving out, my renters (westlake village apartments daly city,ca) are asking for an extra 250 or so. There is no way this is true. There was no damage beyond our security deposit and I need a good negotiation method or rights/demands I can make! No I'm sorry it's unclear. I am the renter and Westlake Village Apartments are the landlords basically. They are asking me for more money! I don't think it's fair or even necessary to pay extra since there are no damages that could cost over 600 (security deposit 500+250 extra) Damages such as a dirty carpet, small holes in the wall from hanging pictures!
